Created from a highly refined base oil, Vintage is a high-dispersancy semi-synthetic with an advanced additive and conditioning system carefully formulated for superior sludge control while preventing further oil deposits from accumulating. High 15W-50 and 20W-50 viscosity is well suited to high-mileage cars that typically use a lot of oil or suffer from reduced oil pressure. Extra wear protection is welcome for cold starts, with the multigrade transitioning to a light 50 weight for clean, smooth performance once the engine is warm. A lubricating film is continuously maintained to protect thermally stressed parts from wear at high operating temperatures. Vintage 15W-50 is designed primarily for gasoline engines, but can be used with confidence in older diesels as well.
